This review is from: Pioneer ND-BC5 Universal Rearview Camera (Electronics) Installed it on my Mitsubishi Outlander with Pioneer AVIC Z140BH head unit. Image quality is great at night or day. Doesn't cause the image to blow out when a car is driving behind you with their headlights on. Nice feature to allows "tow view" when using it with the Pioneer GPS Mode. Allows you to see your trailer etc while you drive. CONS: - Doesn't offer backup guide overlay like other cameras (dont know how useful it is, but would be nice to have the option) - Doesn't offer multiple view angles like the Alpine units - The curve of the lens seems to let water drops build up more when it gets wet which blocks and blurs the image. My camera is installed in the OEM hole that is drilled under the tailgate bar so its more protected and concealed, but I'm sure not all cars have this so the camera would be more exposed to the elements. I don't have experience with other rear view cameras but this works good. In my somewhat dim garage I can see clearly. For those with a w204 mercedes: It took time to take out the vent because it was strongly clipped in but I popped out it out using the top 2 holes taking out the rubber grommets to access that part and used a right angle pick tool. Took the radio out and installed the fakra to rca cable adapter i got from midcity engineering. I tapped the cigarette power plug from the glove box so you'll have to take that out to access that area. Ran the rca from top pillar to the rear. So now after activating the computer to recognize the camera its a nice safety addition to have.
